It’s a big deal in Knoxville tomorrow with the Children’s Festival of Reading happening in World’s Fair Park. I’m so excited to hear Sudipta Bardhan-Quallen, Bob Shea, Jarrett Kroscozka and many other authors and illustrators. I’ll be reading several books by some of them at storytime tomorrow too. So, if you are at the festival, be sure to stop by for a bit! See you storytimers at Union Ave Books tomorrow at 11am!
Union Ave Books
It has been a while since I’ve posted about storytimes here, but they do still happen every first and third Saturday at Union Ave Books. This week is going to be extra gigantic as we read some great books, old and new, about those ferocious (or not) beasts called dinosaurs. Come on out locals! In the words of fabulous author Molly Idle (from twitter), “It promises to be a ROARING good time!”
Well, due to some unfortunate photo issues, the book review I planned for today is going to be delayed. In the meantime, I’ll be early and post the storytime poster for this weekend. Come on out locals and let’s have a magically good time for St. Patrick’s Day! See you at Union Ave Books at 11 am!
Completely forgot to post this earlier this week. Probably too late, but in case any locals check — come out for storytime tomorrow morning at 11am at Union Ave Books!
It’s storytime again! Come join us as we read a few tales about love, hearts and just plain niceness. See you at Union Ave Books at 11 am!
Hope to see you locals Saturday at 11 am at Union Ave Books!
In honor of the weather that is (finally) cold and snowy, we’re reading about penguins. They’ll be two (and maybe 3!) books featuring those lovable little dudes in their black and white suits. Meet you at Union Ave Books at 11 am!
Tomorrow morning is our Christmas storytime at Union Ave Books at 11am. We’ll be reading the marvelous old story by Mr. Robert Barry – Mr. Willowby’s Christmas Tree, and the crazy tale by Seibold and Walsh – Olive, the Other Reindeer. Come join the fun!
Local Knoxvillians, don’t miss a Thanksgiving storytime tomorrow at 11am at Union Ave Books! We’ll be reading Balloons Over Broadway by Melissa Sweet which gives the fun story behind the big balloons in the Macy’s parade. We’ll also hopefully be reading the Devlins Cranberry Thanksgiving which is a marvelous vintage classic about a cranberry bread recipe and an attempted theft! See you there!
It’s going to be a loud storytime tomorrow with another double feature. We’ll be starting off discussing all kinds of loud noises with The Loud Book! by Deborah Underwood and Renata Liwska and then we’ll settle in for a long, wild & crazy narrative about what happens on The Day the Cow Sneezed by James Flora. These are some of my favorite books folks, so don’t miss it tomorrow at 11am at Union Ave Books!
